ART IN THE PARK
September 9, 2017 at the Vermilion Heritage Park from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., sponsored by Inter Pipeline.
Join us for a fun filled day for the whole family at the Vermilion Heritage Park (5320- 50 Avenue). We will be presenting a free lunch, cinnamon buns baked in our community oven, painting class, art talents, displays, face painting, live music, and artisan exhibitors. Centered in the heart of Vermilion, there are many activities that can be enjoyed during this action packed weekend.

Art Competition Registration ($25 fee) : Competition will be taking place in the Vermilion Heritage Museum from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The theme for the art competition is “National Identity.” This theme incorporates artwork (in any medium) that is inspired by Canada. National colours, icons and flag could be used as inspiration. Cultural identification could also be an excellent starting point.
Painting Classes ($35 fee for class, $4/glass of wine): Bring your friends, enjoy an adult beverage and experience painting in relaxed, no pressure environment, with guidance from local artist, Monica To. All is supplied… you just need to show up! Classes are taking place in the Vermilion Senior’s Centre. Two classes are being offered: “Mimosa Masterpieces” from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and “Cab Sav & Canvases” from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. This years project:
Vendor Registration ($25 fee): Home based, handcrafted items are the focus of our Artisan Vendors. Set up in the Vermilion Heritage Park amongst the action. Tents, tables and chairs will be provided.
